Highseat vs Fathom
A Fathom alternativewith funnels and revenue.
Funnels, event properties, revenue from Stripe or Polar and a login for each teammate come with every Highseat plan. Fathom has none of them.
14 days free, no card required.
The short answer
Fathom counts visits. Highseat also shows which ones convert and pay, gives every teammate a login, and stores your data in the EU.
| Fact | Highseat | Fathom |
|---|---|---|
| 100k events a month | $29, every feature | $15 |
| Funnels | Every plan | Not offered |
| Team members | Unlimited | One login |
Fit
Which one fits you?Only one goes past the count.
Both are cookieless and count a pageview and an event the same way. Fathom stops there. Highseat goes on to funnels, properties and revenue.
Choose Highseat if
- YesYou sell through Stripe or Polar and want revenue by source.
- YesYou want funnels and properties on your events.
- YesSeveral people need their own login.
- YesYou want your data stored in the EU and collected on your own domain.
Stay on Fathom if
- Pageview and event counts are all you will ever need.
- You are fine with your data stored in the US.
- Email reports matter more to you than funnels or revenue.
Gaps
Fathom stops at the count. And stores it in the US.
Three limits show up once a site sells or a team grows. Each one comes from Fathom's own docs.
- 01
Events without properties
An event carries a name and one value. There are no properties to break it down by, and no funnels.
- 02
One login per account
Fathom has no team accounts. A colleague gets a share link or an email report.
- 03
Stored in the US
EU visits are anonymised on EU servers, then the data is stored on Fathom's US servers.

Credit
Where Fathom still wins. The short list.
If none of these is a must for you, there is little reason to stay on Fathom.
- 01
A lower price
$15 a month at 100k pageviews and $60 at 1M, against $29 and $89.
- 02
Reports in your inbox
Weekly or monthly email reports, and Search Console keywords in the dashboard. Highseat has neither yet.
- 03
Google Analytics import
Fathom imports your Google Analytics 4 history. Highseat imports only Plausible exports.
Revenue
Revenue on every breakdown.Net of refunds.
Connect Stripe or Polar. Each page, source, country and device shows what it earned, with refunds taken off.
The Sources card with gross revenue, refunds and net revenue for the last 30 days, and each source's revenue beside its visitors. A new Stripe payment lands on the Google row.
Payments joined to the visit
Pass the visit's attribution id to your checkout. The payment lands on the source that sent the buyer.
Last click, first click or linear
Credit goes to the visit that bought, last click by default. Switch the model any time.
Switch
Run both for a week. Then keep a copy and cancel.
Highseat does not import Fathom data. Export your history as CSV files before you cancel, so you keep a copy.
- Day 1
Install
Add the snippet or the handler for your framework. Name your events the way you name them now.
- Week 1
Compare side by side
Keep both scripts on the page and check the numbers against each other. Connect Stripe or Polar.
- Month 1
Export, then cancel
Set up funnels, export your Fathom history as CSV files, then cancel Fathom.
Fathom deletes an account's data within 60 days of the paid period ending, so export first.
Can I import my Fathom data?
No. Highseat imports only Plausible exports. Export your Fathom history as CSV files before you cancel, and run both scripts for a week so the two overlap.
Is Highseat cookieless like Fathom?
Yes. The script sets no cookies and honours Global Privacy Control. Visitors are counted with a hash that rotates every day.
Do I need a higher plan for funnels or revenue?
No. Every plan has every feature. A plan is a monthly event allowance and nothing else.
How do events compare with Fathom pageviews?
Both count one pageview or one custom event as one unit, so your Fathom volume maps to the same Highseat tier. Properties on an event never count extra.
Can I keep Fathom running while I test?
Yes. Both scripts can run on the same page, so you can compare a week of numbers before you cancel.
What happens after the 14-day trial?
Pick a plan to keep going. Without one, collection runs for 14 more days and stops, and your sites are deleted after 60 days.
