# WordPress

> Install Highseat on a WordPress site with one script tag in the theme's header or a header scripts plugin.

WordPress loads the tracker with one script tag in the head of every page. The tracker loads from `cdn.highseat.com`, so the install needs no plugin of its own, no secret and no server code.

Replace `YOUR_SITE_ID` with your site's id, which starts with `site_`. **Site settings › Installation** in the dashboard shows it, with this tag already filled in.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Copy your tracking tag">
    ```html theme={null}
    <script defer src="https://cdn.highseat.com/script.js" data-site="YOUR_SITE_ID"></script>
    ```
  </Step>

  <Step title="Paste it into WordPress">
    Your theme’s header.php just before `</head>`, or a header scripts plugin such as WPCode, then Save.
  </Step>
</Steps>

A theme update replaces `header.php`, so a tag pasted there is lost with the next update. A header scripts plugin, or a child theme, keeps it.

Then [verify your install](/docs/install/verify). Highseat counts only your site's own domain, so a visit to a local copy of the site does not complete the install.

## Content Security Policy

Allow the ingest host in script-src and connect-src.

```text theme={null}
script-src https://cdn.highseat.com;
connect-src https://cdn.highseat.com;
```
